PSG bags partnership with retail group

French Ligue 1 football club Paris Saint-Germain has entered into an 18-month partnership with electrical goods manufacturer and retail store chain Boulanger.

The company has been named PSG’s official household electronics and multimedia supplier. The agreement will cover the remainder of the 2015-16 Ligue 1 season and the 2016-17 campaign. According to French newspaper Le Figaro, the deal will be worth “at least €500,000-€600,000 ($547,000-$656,000) per year”.

Under the deal, Boulanger will be granted advertising exposure at the club’s Parc des Princes stadium and on its various media platforms. Promotional campaigns such as ticket giveaways will also be organised at Boulanger’s stores in and around Paris.

Etienne Hurez, director of Boulanger, said: “This partnership, which will complete our sports sponsorship programme which we began implementing last summer, will enable us to grow our reputation throughout France and particularly in Paris, where Boulanger has real ambition for the coming years.”
