The Hong Kong arm of financial services company Prudential has announced a strategic partnership with the Hong Kong Tennis Association.
The terms expand Prudential’s collaboration with the HKTA, making it the title sponsor of the Hong Kong Open for the second consecutive year in 2015. The tournament is an International Series event on the Women’s Tennis Association calendar.
Prudential also becomes the exclusive lead partner of the HKTA, a designation that makes it the title sponsor of the Hong Kong National Tennis Championships and the HKTA Summer, Winter, Mixed and Junior Club Leagues.
HKTA’s Tennis Rocks community tennis programme, targeting children aged six to eight from low-income backgrounds, will benefit from support from Prudential.
The 2015 Hong Kong Open will take place at Victoria Park Tennis Stadium from October 12-18. Germany’s Sabine Lisicki (pictured) won the 2014 edition.
