French automotive manufacturer Renault has extended its jersey sponsorship deal with AFL Aussie rules football team Port Adelaide.
The new deal means the relationship will continue until at the least the end of the 2017 season. Renault’s branding will continue to appear on Port Adelaide’s playing jerseys as part of the agreement.
Renault serves as one of the team’s joint major partners along with gas and electricity supplier EnergyAustralia.
“AFL is one of Australia’s premier sporting competitions and this partnership is the perfect way to cement Renault’s success in the Australian marketplace,” Jason Miller, head of Renault Australia’s marketing department, said, according to the Behind the Wheel website.
Renault first teamed up with Port Adelaide in 2013. The team currently sits 11th in the table after 20 games of the 2016 AFL season.
