Sony Computer Entertainment has agreed a deal to become the official gaming partner of boxing promoter Top Rank Boxing in a move that will promote its PlayStation games consoles.
The new PlayStation4 (PS4) system will be highlighted at several Top Rank events, most notably the World Boxing Organisation welterweight title fight between Timothy Bradley and Manny Pacquiao on April 12 in Las Vegas.
The PlayStation brand will be featured through in-arena branding, television advertising in the US and integration across Top Rank’s social and digital channels.
Other bouts where PlayStation will benefit from this integration include the May 17 welterweight fight between Juan Manuel Marquez and Mike Alvarado at the Los Angeles Forum and the highly-anticipated clash between three-division world champion Miguel Cotto and WBC middleweight ruler Sergio Martinez at New York's Madison Square Garden on June 7.
