Golf’s PGA Tour has sealed a long-term renewal of a deal with United Airlines.
The agreement will run for six years, from 2016 to 2021.
United Airlines will be the official airline of the PGA Tour, PGA Tour Champions and Web.com Tour.
Members of the tours will continue to receive significant travel benefits, including MileagePlus elite status privileges and complementary access to more than 45 United Club locations.
United’s tournament programme began last week at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and will continue with this week’s Northern Trust Open from February 18-21 at the Riviera Country Club in California.
“Considering the amount of travel that is required of our players on the PGA Tour, PGA Tour Champions and the Web.com Tour, as well as our staff, this is obviously a very important category for us,” PGA Tour chief commercial officer Tom Wade said.
