Highland Spring has bolstered its links with golf by becoming an official supplier to the PGA Championship, the flagship tournament of the European Tour.
The new agreement enhances the bottled water brand’s already extensive support of grassroots and elite golf in the UK. Under the deal, Highland Spring has also committed to supporting the Scottish Open, which has been held at various clubs since it became part of the European Tour in 1972 and returns to Castle Stuart for the third consecutive year on July 11.
The partnership was announced as the 2013 PGA Championship got underway today at the Wentworth Club in Surrey, England.
In other news, Ballantine’s has agreed a two-year extension to its sponsorship of the Scottish Open. The whisky brand said the global reach of the tournament was a significant factor in the decision to renew its sponsorship, with the main objective of building brand awareness in key markets worldwide while also strengthening the company’s golfing association.
