Soft drinks and snack food producer PepsiCo has confirmed a partnership deal with the Uefa Champions League club football tournament.
PepsiCo announced late yesterday (Tuesday) that it would push its Gatorade, Pepsi Max and Lay’s brands through the partnership, with Doritos, Lipton and 7UP also to be promoted.
The deal, which was reported by Sports Sponsorship Insider on June 5, will run for three years, from 2015-16 to 2017-18.
“The Uefa Champions League is without a doubt one of the most prestigious football competitions in the world, and with more than a billion football fans watching the matches every season, this new partnership offers unprecedented opportunities for both parties,” PepsiCo Europe chief executive Ramon Laguarta said.
