Pelle P bolsters sailing portfolio with WMRT deal

Swedish apparel brand Pelle P has deepened its association with sailing by agreeing a partnership with the World Match Racing Tour.

Pelle P, which has prior ties to the WMRT, will serve as the official clothing partner of the Tour, initially for 2019 with the option to extend the agreement into next year.

The WMRT adds to Pelle P’s existing sailing sponsorship portfolio, which includes Team Alinghi, the China Sail GP team, former Match Racing world champion Phil Robertson and professional sailor Johnie Berntsson.

The brand’s sailing, skiwear, golf and training collections are inspired by the achievements of Swedish America’s Cup sailing legend and designer Pelle Petterson. The company was founded in 2007 by Pelle’s daughter Cecilia who leads the firm as chief executive and head of design.
