Global payments provider Paysafe Group has extended a shirt sponsorship deal with the Barbarians invitational rugby union team.
Paysafe had already featured on the jerseys of the team for its games against an England XV in May and Ulster in June.
The new deal will cover the team’s upcoming matches in Australia before a clash against New Zealand on November 4 at Twickenham in London and a game with Tonga at Munster in Ireland on November 10.
As part of this partnership, Paysafe will mark its relationship with the Help for Heroes charity for service personnel and military veterans under the ‘Paysafe Payback’ banner. Under the arrangement, Paysafe will use its access to the Barbarians squad to provide memorable experiences for veterans and their families, supported by Help for Heroes. One of the initiatives will be a joint Barbarians and Help for Heroes training session.
Oscar Nieboer, chief marketing officer of Paysafe Group, said: “There is a strong and emotive bond between rugby and the armed forces. Loyalty, bravery and sacrifice are core principles for both, they resonate strongly with rugby fans.”
