High-end fabrics and furniture manufacturer Para-Tempotest has confirmed a shirt sponsorship deal with Italian Serie A football team Sampdoria.
Para-Tempotest’s branding debuted on the front of Sampdoria’s shirts for the first time during this week’s match at Lazio and the partnership runs initially until the end of the 2014-15 season.
Paolo Patruno, the company’s marketing manager, said: “Our commitment to the world of sport has always been very strong and we had sponsorships in basketball, cycling, tennis and athletics and in football as well, although with the agreements of a minor nature. Today is an important day for us, we wanted to make (an impact) strongly in Serie A.”
Earlier in the season, Sampdoria signed a short-term deal with Italian movie distributor Lucky Red to promote the Sin City feature film over the course of four matches.
Sampdoria currently lies sixth in Serie A. The financial terms of its agreement with Para-Tempotest were not disclosed.
