Electronic products manufacturer Panasonic has agreed a deal to become an official supplier to the 34th America’s Cup sailing event.
The company will supply five large LED video boards and 85 flat panel televisions which will be placed throughout public and hospitality areas at the competition venue, America’s Cup village and pavilion for the duration of this summer’s event in San Francisco, California.
The screens will provide live coverage of the races and will feature social media snippets, partner programming and venue updates and information.
Panasonic has joined Red Bull, Garmin and Nespresso as an official commercial partner of the event.
The Louis Vuitton series, which will decide the challenger to face defending champion Oracle in the final America’s Cup match from September 7-21, will begin in San Francisco on July 7.
