Sportswear company CA Sports has been signed up as the new apparel partner of the Pakistan national cricket team.
The deal was agreed with the Pakistan Cricket Board, the sport’s governing body in the country.
The agreement will run for two years, from 2014-15 to 2015-16, and will cover the International Cricket Council (ICC) 2015 Cricket World Cup and the ICC 2016 World Twenty20 tournament.
“The new sponsorship will see CA Sports provide apparel and training kit for our first-class and international series and ICC tournaments across all formats of the game to both the men’s and woman’s national teams as well as age-group outfits,” Subhan Ahmad, the chief operating officer of the governing body, said.
Ahmad said that the deal demonstrated the “bullish” status of Pakistani cricket. “This by far is the best deal ever in this spectrum,” he added.
