Prosthetic products manufacturer Ottobock has been named as an official supplier of the World Para Athletics governing body.
The deal covers this year’s World Para Athletics European Championships, which take place from August 20-26 in the German capital of Berlin.
Ottobock will continue to provide technical services to athletes at the European Championships via the Ottobock Repair Service Centre. Its technicians will be on hand to repair and maintain athletes’ equipment during the event.
Ottobock has supported previous World and European Championships and is currently the longest serving partner of the Paralympic Games, having offered technical services since Seoul 1988.
Ottobock’s chief marketing officer, Christin Gunkel, said: “For Ottobock it is very important to let the athletes focus on their competition not their equipment, which is highly professional and individual in the disciplines of Para athletics.”
