Ottobock extends Paralympics partnership

Prosthetic products manufacturer Ottobock has renewed its partnership with the Paralympics ahead of next year’s winter Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

Ottobock will serve as the official prosthetic, orthotic and wheelchair technical service provider of the 2018 Games, which run from March 9-18.

As part of the agreement, Ottobock will provide a repair service centre for prosthetics, orthotics and wheelchairs.

Ottobock is the longest-serving partner of the Paralympics and first supported the 1988 summer Games, which were held in the Korean capital of Seoul.

Lee Hee-beom, president of the Pyeongchang 2018 organising committee, said: “We are focused on delivering an athlete-centric Games so having partners like Ottobock is very important. We want the athletes to have everything that they need and that includes having the support services for their equipment available to them whenever they require it.”
