Global online payments provider Optimal Payments has agreed a two-year shirt sponsorship deal with English Premier League football team Crystal Palace.
Under the partnership, brokered by sports marketing agency SportQuake, the branding of Optimal Payments’ Neteller service will feature on the front of Crystal Palace’s home and away kits during the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons.
Neteller will be the first Premier League sponsor from the within the online payments industry. Financial terms for the sponsorship were not disclosed.
Lorenzo Pellegrino, executive vice-president of Neteller, said: “This partnership gives Neteller the platform to promote our services on a whole new level, putting it alongside major global brands like Barclays, Nike, Emirates, Samsung and General Motors.”
Crystal Palace secured an 11th-place finish on its return to English football’s top flight last season with its manager Tony Pulis voted Premier League manager of the season by the League Managers Association.
