Omega opts for more time with Team New Zealand

Team New Zealand has renewed its long-term major sponsor association with watchmaker and timing specialist Omega for its campaign in the 35th America’s Cup sailing event.

The deal with Omega follows Team New Zealand extending terms with title sponsor Emirates airline earlier this month. Both organisations will continue to back the team through to the end of the America’s Cup in 2017.

To mark the latest agreement, Omega will launch a new Seamaster Diver 300M ETNZ model with the Team New Zealand logo embossed on the back case.

Team New Zealand chief executive Grant Dalton said: “Having Omega continue as a major sponsor is another landmark milestone for the team. The relationship is one that dates back more than 20 years to the 1995 campaign when the team first won the America’s Cup and illustrated what is possible by a team full of talent, innovation and belief and is yet another solid stepping stone in the drive for repeat success in 2017.”
