Sportswear company Nike has extended a partnership with the Ole Miss Rebels, the sports team of the University of Mississippi in the US.
The renewal will run for 12 years, from 2015-16 to 2026-27.
The value of the renewal will be “more than double” that of the previous agreement worth $1.9m (€1.7m) per year, according to Ole Miss athletics director Ross Bjork.
Under the new deal, Ole Miss will also no longer be required to buy apparel from the retailer – saving a further $775,000 per year.
