Rugby Australia has signed a new partnership with Australian ridesharing brand Ola.
Under the deal, Ola will become the Australian national team’s Official Rideshare Partner. Fans will be offered discounts on rides and special promotions throughout the international rugby season, including an introductory offer of A$10 (€6/$7) off the first two rides for new sign-ups.
Cameron Murray, chief commercial officer at Rugby Australia, said: “Ola is providing new competition in rideshare across Australia and with services operating in most major centres across the country, the platform is a fantastic promotional vehicle for the team and a great value, convenient way for fans to get to and from games.”
The deal was announced ahead of Australia’s Bledisloe Cup decider against New Zealand at Eden Park in Auckland on Saturday, and the national team’s campaign at the 2019 World Cup in Japan.
Ola currently operates in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Canberra and the Sunshine Coast.
