Australian NRL rugby league team Penrith Panthers has signed a two-year renewal to retain flavoured milk brand Oak as its major sponsor.
Under the deal, Oak, which is part of Italian dairy group Parmalat, will continue to hold the logo rights for the front and back of the Panthers jersey in the 2015 and 2016 seasons.
Chief commercial officer for Panthers Group, Justin Pascoe, said: “This extension is a reflection of the strength of the brand Oak and the capability of the Panthers organisation to work in conjunction with their partners to achieve their set objectives.”
Penrith Panthers finished fourth in the recently completed 2014 NRL regular season and came within one game of reaching the Grand Final, beaten by eventual runners up Canterbury Bulldogs.
