Nottinghamshire extends deal with shirt sponsor

Auction house John Pye Auctions has signed a two-year extension to its sponsorship deal with English county cricket club Nottinghamshire.

Under the agreement, John Pye’s branding will continue to feature on each of Nottinghamshire’s three playing jerseys during the 2017 and 2018 seasons.

The two parties’ previous deal was due to expire at the end of the current 2016 campaign. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed, although John Pye managing director Adam Pye said the deal was the largest in the club’s history.

John Pye will also extend its backing to Nottinghamshire’s academy and the Trent Bridge Community Trust, the club’s official charity. John Pye will donate the academy branding opportunity back to the Trust.

“We like to tie in sponsorship deals with just causes, so it’s a privilege being able to support the fabulous charitable work that is taking place within our local communities,” Pye said. “Add to that a talented and entertaining team that’s competing at the highest level of professional cricket, together with the iconic backdrop of Trent Bridge (Nottinghamshire’s home ground), and the overall package creates the perfect brand association.”

John Pye, a family-owned Nottingham business, first partnered with the club ahead of the 2015 season.
