The Nigeria Football Federation has entered into a partnership with confectionery products manufacturer Cadbury.
The deal names Cadbury’s TomTom brand as the official candy of the Nigerian national team, which is known as the Super Eagles.
The agreement will run for three years and includes the option of an extension.
“We appreciate what Cadbury Nigeria Plc has done for Nigerian football over the years and that is why we embraced them immediately an approach was made,” NFF president Amaju Melvin Pinnick said.
The deal continues the NFF’s recent sponsorship drive. Last month, the federation agreed partnerships with soft drinks manufacturer Coca-Cola, Wapic Insurance and Nigerian Breweries.
Nigeria has qualified for this year’s Fifa World Cup in Russia and will face Argentina, Iceland and Croatia in Group D.
