NFL American football franchise the New Orleans Saints has announced a multi-year partnership with the locally-based Carnival cruise line firm.
Under the deal, Carnival will become the club’s official cruise line, while the Saints will promote the company’s brand inside Mercedes-Benz Superdome, the club’s home stadium. Each home game will also see a free cruise given away to a Saints supporter.
A new Saints Sailgate Sailaways promotion will be introduced on Carnival’s ships. The promotion will include football-themed parties, prizes and food and drinks offers.
Carnival president Christine Duffy said: “Carnival has been a part of the New Orleans community for more than 20 years and this partnership with the Saints offers fans a variety of opportunities to engage with the team.”
Carnival will also become involved with the Saints’ Read and Rise program, an initiative aimed at improving children’s literacy in the New Orleans area.
