Pharmaceutical company New GPC has renewed its title sponsorship of the Caribbean Premier League for the Twenty20 cricket competition’s 2014 edition.
Limacol held the naming rights when the CPL debuted in 2013 and the New GPC brand will reprise this role for the 2014 tournament.
Dr Ranjitsingh Ramroop, chairman of New GPC, said: “The Limacol CPL was the most exciting thing the region has ever seen in terms of sports and entertainment and we wanted it to be here to stay so we took the decision to invest.”
The Caribbean Premier League returns in July and August 2014 when Jamaica Tallawahs will defend their title against the St. Lucia Zouks, Trinidad & Tobago Red Steel, Antigua Hawksbills, Guyana Amazon Warriors and Barbados Tridents.
