Nespresso tees up Ryder Cup partnership

Nespresso, the premium coffee brand of food and beverage multi-national Nestle, has been confirmed as the official coffee supplier to the 2014 Ryder Cup golf tournament at Gleneagles.

The announcement was made during the final round of the Nespresso Trophy Final in San Sebastian – the home town of Nespresso golf ambassador, event curator and victorious 2012 European Ryder Cup captain José María Olazábal.

During the three days of the Ryder Cup, which takes place on September 26-28 next year, Nespresso will provide an estimated 500,000 cups of its Grand Cru coffee in the on-course bars, private and public catering areas, along with the team rooms and media centre.

Additionally, Olazábal and Nespresso will host a series of special golf events in the week prior to and during the Ryder Cup.

Nespresso boasts more than two decades of involvement in golf, including partnerships with European Tour events such as the PGA Championship and the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship.
