IT and network technologies company NEC has signed a sponsorship deal with organisers of the upcoming Asian Games multi-sport event in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia.
NEC Indonesia will serve as a supporting sponsor and the ICT security system partner of the Games, which run from August 18 to September 2.
NEC Corporation agreed the deal with the Indonesia Asian Games Organising Committee (INASGOC). The company will support INASGOC in creating a smart, safe and efficient environment for athletes and spectators by providing venue-based IT solutions such as network infrastructure and surveillance systems.
More than 16,000 athletes from 45 countries are set to compete during this year’s Asian Games.
