NBA’s 76ers tuck into tasty partnership

Coffee and baked goods chain Dunkin’ Donuts has bolstered its sports portfolio by entering into a partnership with the Philadelphia 76ers NBA basketball team.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but it was confirmed that the agreement will come into effect from January 11 and cover at least the 2016-17 season.

Dunkin’ Donuts will serve as the official coffee, donut and breakfast sandwich of the 76ers and collaborate with the franchise on a series of fan-focused initiatives.

Supporters who hold one of the company’s ‘DD Perks’ cards can purchase certain products at a discounted price during select 76ers home games, while the firm will also stage a special giveaway at the team’s upcoming match against the New York Knicks.

Dunkin’ Donuts will also sponsor the 76ers’ skills team, which has been renamed the ‘Sixers Dunk Squad’, as well as offer a selection of 76ers-themed products at its stores in the local area.

In addition, Dunkin’ Donuts will serve as the presenting partner of the Sixers Summer Tour community event and install a premium coffee station at the team’s training facility.
