North America’s National Lacrosse League has signed a major partnership with US insurance firm Geico.
The deal names Geico as the Official Insurance designation of the NLL.
From this Friday, all NLL teams’ away uniforms will feature the Geico patch on the jersey tail for the remainder of the 2018-19 season.
It marks the NLL’s first large non-endemic partnership and a “historic achievement” for the competition.
“This partnership with Geico – the first non-endemic – is a testament to the growing enthusiasm for indoor lacrosse and the outsized leadership position the NLL has taken within the sport,” said Will Funk, executive vice-president of property marketing and corporate partnerships for Turner Sports.
Turner Sports represents the league for sales and marketing opportunities.
