National Lacrosse League signs Under Armour deal

Sportswear company Under Armour has agreed a deal to become the exclusive supplier of performance apparel, footwear and equipment to the National Lacrosse League North American club competition through the 2016 season.

The deal will come into effect at the start of the NLL’s 2014 season, which begins on December 28.

Under the agreement, all NLL players will compete in new Under Armour apparel and equipment throughout the course of the deal.

The firm will also supply NLL athletes with performance training apparel, baselayer and footwear. Players will also wear the new custom Under Armour Charge Gloves and Under Armour Charge 2 lacrosse heads.

“This new partnership with the NLL provides Under Armour with the unique opportunity to feature the most technically advanced products at the pinnacle of the sport,” Under Armour’s senior category director for lacrosse, Jim Bel Bruno, said.
