The Nasdaq stock exchange has been named as a team partner for the 2017-18 edition of the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race.
Nasdaq has an existing relationship with the sailing event, having partnered with the New York stage of the race in 2011.
Nasdaq’s MarketSite in New York’s Times Square also hosts business events for Clipper Race sponsors.
Nasdaq will sponsor one of the 12 teams competing in this year’s race, which begins in the English city of Liverpool on August 20. The fleet’s first stop will be in Punta del Este, Uruguay.
Nasdaq will benefit from prominent international brand exposure throughout the race.
Clipper Race chief executive William Ward said: “The Clipper Race is the most successful ocean racing business of its type in the world today, and this partnership is symbolic of how far the race has grown over the last two decades.”
