Mumbai Indians extend with airline partners

Indian Premier League Twenty20 cricket franchise the Mumbai Indians has renewed its partnership with Etihad Airways and the Abu Dhabi airline’s partner, India-based Jet Airways.

The one-year deal will run for the duration of the 2015 IPL season.

Under the agreement, Etihad Airways and Jet Airways will continue to serve as the official airline partners and principal sponsors of the team.

Following the same format as last year, the Etihad Airways logo will be located at the top of the back of the shirts worn by the Mumbai Indians for home matches and the Jet Airways logo will be featured in the same position for away matches.

Both airlines will benefit from branding placement on LED pitch-side advertising boards and on giant screens inside the team’s Wankhede Stadium.

The Mumbai Indians, captained by India's Rohit Sharma (pictured), play reigning IPL champion the Kolkata Knight Riders today (Wednesday) in the opening round of this year’s competition.
