Spanish mobile phone operator Movistar has extended its deal to serve as an associate sponsor of the Spain national football team.
The new deal will run for just under two years, until the end of the Uefa Euro 2016 national team tournament.
Movistar first became a sponsor of the RFEF, football’s governing body in Spain, in 2012.
As part of the new deal, Movistar, which is owned by telecommunications company Telefonica, will also now become the official sponsor of Spain’s U-21 team and the national women’s team. It has also gained the image rights for the senior men’s team coach, Vicente Del Bosque.
Movistar will also provide the latest telecommunications services to the RFEF and its regional federations.
