Energy drinks brand Monster has agreed a sponsorship deal with the 2015 North West 200 motorcycle road racing event in Northern Ireland.
Under the terms of the deal, Monster Energy will sponsor the opening superbike category, which will run on the final day of the May 10-16 meeting – staged by the Coleraine & District Motor Club.
Monster will also be involved throughout race week, with the North West 200 adding to its substantial presence across motorcycling that includes MotoGP, superbikes, supermoto, speedway and motocross.
Monster currently partners MotoGP star Valentino Rossi and his Yamaha team, with the latter association extending through the manufacturer’s teams in multiple categories. In October last year, Monster renewed its agreements with International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) properties the Speedway World Championships and Motocross World Championship.
