Health insurance provider Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield has signed a multi-year extension to its partnership with Major League Baseball team Pittsburgh Pirates.
Highmark continues as the exclusive health insurance provider of Pittsburgh Pirates, taking its association with the franchise into a second decade.
Under the terms of the deal, the company will receive extensive and camera-visible signage at the Pirates’ PNC Park during MLB games and become the presenting partner of the Right Field Bleachers and the Kids Play Land sections of the ballpark.
Each time the Pirates hit a home run into the Right Field Bleachers during 2014, Highmark will make a $100 (€72) donation to a local non-profit organisation.
Highmark will also serve as the presenting sponsor of numerous Pirates family-friendly promotional events throughout the season, with a focus on health and wellness initiatives, including the Highmark Kids Days giveaway events at PNC Park.
