Minnesota Vikings sign Ecolab as latest stadium partner

Global water, hygiene and energy technologies company Ecolab has been named a partner of NFL American football franchise the Minnesota Vikings and its future home, U.S. Bank Stadium.

The Minnesota-headquartered company has agreed a 10-year strategic marketing partnership with the club. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

As part of the deal, Ecolab’s hand-care, sanitation and water treatment services will be installed at the stadium, which is scheduled to open in July. The Ecolab Gate, located at the north entrance of the ground, has also been named after the company. In addition, Ecolab will collaborate with the Vikings on community-based initiatives.

“For more than 90 years, Ecolab has been proud to call Minnesota home, and we understand the importance of supporting community initiatives throughout our great state,” Douglas Baker, Ecolab chairman and chief executive, said.

Minnesota Vikings owner and president Mark Wilf added: “Ecolab is a prominent Minnesota business whose CEO, Doug Baker, has long been a supporter of the Vikings and served a key role in the push to secure Super Bowl LII in Minnesota.”
