Microsoft partners Women’s PGA Championship

US software giant Microsoft has been named a founding sponsor of this year’s Women’s PGA Championship golf major.

Microsoft struck the deal, financial terms of which were not disclosed, with the Ladies Professional Golf Association. The event will take place at the Sahalee Country Club in Sammamish, Washington from June 9-12.

Microsoft will also serve as a founding sponsor of the Women’s Leadership Summit, which will take place at the same venue on June 8. Leaders in the business, politics, sports and media fields will be present at the event, which seeks to inspire the next generation of women leaders.
