Equestrian-focused investment group Meydan has reached an agreement to sponsor the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Normandy, France.
Under the deal, UAE-based Meydan will be associated with all eight official disciplines at the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) event and become the title sponsor of the World Endurance Championship on August 28.
Meydan has been associated with the previous two editions of the World Equestrian Games at Aachen, Germany in 2006 and Kentucky, USA in 2010.
The group’s commitment to equestrian extends to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s development of Meydan City in Dubai, which hosts the Dubai World Cup horse race and also features a range of entertainment complexes.
The 2014 FEI World Equestrian Games take place from August 23 to September 7.
