Mexican Football Federation secures airline partners

The Mexican Football Federation (FMF) has agreed multi-year sponsorship deals with Delta Air Lines and Mexico’s flag carrier airline, Aeroméxico.

Although terms of the agreements were not disclosed, it was confirmed that Delta and Aeroméxico will serve as the official airline partners of Mexico’s national team.

Both airlines will collaborate with the FMF to deliver premier fan experiences, community engagement and unique online content.

The deal also includes various promotional assets at games in Mexico, as well as at Mexico-hosted matches in the US as part of the Mexico national team’s annual tour of the country, and during Fifa World Cup qualifying games and exhibition matches.

Delta has established a major presence in the US professional sports market via partnerships with teams such as Major League Baseball franchise the New York Yankees, NHL ice hockey outfit the Los Angeles Kings and NFL American football team Minnesota Vikings.

In addition, Delta is the official airline partner of English Premier League football club Chelsea.
