Dairy products manufacturer Daisy Brand has agreed a sponsorship deal with the Mexican Football Federation (FMF).
The multi-year deal names Daisy Brand as the official sour cream of the Mexican national team’s annual tour of the US, which is now in its 16th year.
Daisy Brand will benefit from exclusive promotional rights during the 2018 tour, which begins with a match against Bosnia & Herzegovina at San Antonio’s Alamadome on January 31.
Mexico will also play back-to-back matches against to-be-determined opposition at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara on March 23 and AT&T Stadium in Arlington on March 27.
Co-branded FMF and Daisy Brand content will include a series highlighting the role that family, food and traditions play in the lives of Mexican national team players.
The tour will serve as a warm-up for the 2018 Fifa World Cup in Russia, where Mexico has been drawn alongside Germany, Sweden and South Korea in Group F.
The partnership was brokered by Soccer United Marketing, Major League Soccer’s commercial arm and a partner of Mexico’s US tour for more than 15 years.
