The Mexican Football Federation (FMF) has extended its sponsorship agreement with sportswear company Adidas through to the 2022 Fifa World Cup.
Under the terms of the deal, Adidas will continue to manufacture and supply kit to the Mexican national team.
The deal will cover the 2018 World Cup in Russia as well as the 2022 edition of the tournament in Qatar.
Adidas previously dressed the Mexican team in the 1970 and 1986 World Cups before agreeing to become an official sponsor of the FMF in 2007 – an association that has taken in the 2010 and 2014 World Cups.
Adidas chief executive Herbert Hainer said: “The jersey of the Mexican Football Federation is one of the best sellers for Adidas globally. We are pleased with the performance of the Mexican team in the World Cup and we look forward to continuing our successful partnership.”
Mexico reached the last 16 of this year’s World Cup before losing 2-1 to the Netherlands.
