The McLaren-Honda Formula One world championship motor-racing team has extended a partnership with the UK division of international bank Santander UK.
The renewal will run for five years, from 2016 to 2020.
Under the agreement, McLaren-Honda driver Jenson Button (pictured) will continue to feature prominently in Santander marketing campaigns.
The F1 team and Santander first linked up in 2007, when the bank was seeking to establish itself in the UK market.
Ekrem Sami, managing director of McLaren’s marketing division, said: “Our renewed partnership demonstrates a well-founded belief in the team’s ability to successfully activate brands around a shared, common vision for the future. I look forward to developing the relationship and hope to see it continue to go from strength to strength for both brands.”
