The Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (Concacaf) has agreed a sponsorship deal with tyre manufacturer Maxxis for its Champions League club competition.
Terms for the agreement, which was brokered by the confederation’s commercial partnership agency Traffic Sports, were not disclosed.
As the official tyre sponsor of the Champions League, Maxxis gains the rights to use tournament marks; promotional and activation rights at stadia and throughout the region; television advertising and branding in official media and materials.
The 2014-15 Champions League resumed at the quarter-final stage this week, with the 2015-16 edition due to kick-off on August 24.
Financial services group Scotiabank is the competition’s title sponsor.
