Grocery store chain Martin’s has reached an agreement to serve as the official supermarket of the 2015 International Cycling Union (UCI) Road World Championships.
Richmond, Virginia will host the nine-day cycling showpiece from September 19-27 and Martin’s has 24 shops in the local area.
Under the partnership, Martin’s will produce and distribute paper grocery bags in-store featuring the UCI Road World Championships logo throughout February and during the months closer to the event.
Alongside in-store promotions, Martin’s will manufacturer reusable grocery bags celebrating the event and the net profit will be donated to Richmond 2015.
Martin's has an established presence at local cycling events as the title sponsor of the Tour of Richmond, while it also partners the Cap2Cap one-day race.
