Financial services company Manulife Financial has extended its title sponsorship of the Manulife Financial LPGA Classic Canadian women’s golf tournament until 2016.
Manulife Financial, which first began its support of the tournament in 2012, will now retain its role as title sponsor for the 2015 and 2016 editions.
The Canadian firm will continue to work with the LPGA and tournament owner, Sports Properties International, to improve the event’s on-site experience for fans and players, the volunteer experience and charity programming with St. Mary’s General Hospital Foundation.
Ricki Lasky, vice-president of tournament business affairs at the LPGA, said: “We are delighted to extend our partnership with Manulife. Their passion for the sport of golf and support of the LPGA has been exemplary. They have set the standard for partner commitment in such a short time and we look forward to expanding our relationship for many years to come."
The 2014 Manulife Financial LPGA Classic will take play at the Grey silo Golf Club in Ontario, Canada, from June 4-8.
