LPGA’s Bahamas event renews sponsorship ties

Female shaving products brand Pure Silk and the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism have signed deals to remain as the co-title sponsors of the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour event at the Ocean Club Golf Course on Paradise Island, Bahamas.

The event will continue to be named the Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic under three-year renewals with the sponsors, which run from 2016 to 2018.

The 2016 edition of the Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic is scheduled for January 25-31 and boasts a prize fund of $1.4m (€1.25m) – an increase of $100,000. The scheduling re-establishes the tournament as the LPGA’s season-opener, a position it last held in 2014.
