English Premier League football club Manchester United has agreed a deal for US kitchen and bathroom manufacturer Kohler to become its new sleeve sponsor, according to Goal.com.
The website reported that United has signed a multi-year deal with Kohler worth close to £10m (€11.4m/$13.5m). Kohler would become United’s first-ever sleeve sponsor.
United had been in talks with dating app Tinder to become its sleeve sponsor last summer before negotiations broke down. Tinder eventually partnered with Manchester City in April in a deal that does not involve kit branding.
The 2017-18 campaign marked the first season that Premier League clubs were permitted to sign sleeve sponsors and United is one of the few teams yet to strike such a deal. Arsenal became the latest team to sign a sleeve sponsor when signing a three-year deal with the Rwanda Development Board last month.
