English Premier League football club Manchester United has announced a three-and-a-half year agreement to make Thai company EuroFood its official confectionary partner in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.
Under the terms of the deal, EuroFood has the rights to use United’s crest and club imagery on its products. The newly branded items – including the Choco Pie, Gussen Wafer and Peking Wafer confectionery ranges – will be available to consumers across the five markets from this month.
EuroFood will also activate numerous marketing campaigns across the five Southeast Asian countries.
Manchester United’s group managing director Richard Arnold said: “Manchester United has over 55 million passionate followers in these five countries and we look forward to further engaging with these fans through this partnership.”
Reigning champion Manchester United is currently seventh in the Premier League and faces German Bundesliga title-holder Bayern Munich in the first leg of a Uefa Champions League quarter-final at Old Trafford tonight.
