Manchester City signs global partnership with Xylem

English Premier League football club Manchester City has signed a sponsorship deal with global water technology company Xylem.

The multi-year global partnership names Xylem as the club’s official water technology partner. The deal also incorporates City’s women’s team and Major League Soccer outfit New York City FC, its sister club.

Xylem will seek to use the partnership to raise awareness about pressing global water challenges and solutions. The company will also work with City on Xylem Watermark projects, which will involve building water towers in communities without access to clean water.

Xylem will benefit from brand exposure at the Etihad Stadium on match days, as well as exposure at the City Football Academy.

Xylem president and chief executive Patrick Decker said: “To partner with a club that is committed to bringing about positive social change through football is a natural fit. Working with Manchester City, we will extend our reach to their massive fan base and, in doing so, increase our ability to create social value.”
