Man City drinks up maiden Thai deal

English Premier League football club Manchester City has teamed up with est Cola for its first ever regional partnership in Thailand.

Under the two-year deal, est Cola will become City’s official soft drinks partner in Thailand as the club begins a drive to boost its presence in south east Asia.

An est Cola television commercial featuring members of Manuel Pellegrini’s squad will air nationwide in Thailand, while the club crest and first-team stars are set to appear in both below and above the line advertising campaigns and in-store point-of-sale, throughout est Cola’s sales networks in supermarkets and shops.

City players Micah Richards and Scott Sinclair were in Bangkok to unveil the deal on Wednesday, part of a week-long visit to meet fans and take part in further partnership announcements before flying to the Indonesia capital Jakarta.

Meanwhile, Tom Glick, chief commercial and operating officer at Manchester City, confirmed the club will launch a Thai version of its official website this month.
