Mainz 05 has extended partnerships with financial services firm Sparkasse Mainz and textile management company Mewa, while fellow German Bundesliga football club FC Augsburg has renewed agreements with the Asset Gruppe conglomerate and vehicle equipment manufacturer Sortimo.
Sparkasse Mainz’s new deal with Mainz will cover the 2019-20 Bundesliga season. The company will benefit from LED advertising exposure during matches at the Opel Arena as part of the agreement.
Sparkasse Mainz will also be a presenting partner of match substitutions and receive promotion in official club publications. Additionally, it will support a digital Player of the Month initiative that will launch later this month, giving fans the chance to win prizes such as match-worn shirts and match tickets.
Mewa’s new agreement with Mainz will cover the 2019-20 and 2020-21 Bundesliga campaigns.
Mewa, which has sponsored the club since 2013, will hold naming rights to a VIP area at the Opel Arena and will also sponsor the newly-named Mewa Tribune east stand. Mewa will also benefit from exposure in the backdrop of interviews and on the team bus.
Meanwhile, Asset Gruppe has signed a new three-year deal to continue sponsoring FC Augsburg. The company will benefit from match-day exposure and receive access to players for marketing initiatives.
In-vehicle equipment manufacturer Sortimo will also continue to sponsor the club until 2022. Sortimo’s logo will feature in TV-visible ‘cam carpets’ on match days, while the company will also appear on video boards and receive its own box for Augsburg home matches.
Both agreements were brokered by Augsburg’s marketing partner Lagardère Sports.
