Main sponsors renew with Sydney FC

Australian A-League football team Sydney FC has renewed its shirt sponsorship deals with travel booking website Webjet and tourism authority Destination NSW for the 2013-14 season.

Webjet will remain on the front of Sydney FC’s home and away shirts, with Sydney.com displayed on the back as a result of the Destination NSW agreement.

Petrol brand Caltex Australia has already committed to branding the team’s shorts for the forthcoming campaign, taking the value of Sydney’s kit sponsorship to A$1m (€697,000/$909,000).

Sydney FC has also enjoyed an increase in second-tier sponsorships for the 2013-14 season and beyond with St George Bank joining as the club’s official community partner.

The signing of iconic Italian player Alessandro Del Piero significantly boosted Sydney FC’s global profile last season and the club departs for a three-week tour of Italy tomorrow morning.
